DESCRIPTION:EU side events (1-12 November 2021)\nThe European Union\, like in previous years\, provides a space for side events seeking to stimulate the debate on key thematic areas\, facilitating dialogue with Party delegates and other participants\, as well as launching new initiatives and partnerships and showcasing inspiring and successful projects or policies. \nThis year\, the EU Pavilion programme will include physical side events in Glasgow\, a studio in Brussels\, as well as digital side events. All events will be accessible through an online platform to reach out to broader audiences around the globe and allow enhanced virtual participation. \nFocusing on green digital technologies\n01.11.2021\, 16:00 – “Digital solutions as an enabler for climate action” \n08.11.2021\, 10:00 – “Digital Climate Advisory Services: bridging the divide\nbetween science\, policy and practice” \n10.11.2021\, 16:00 – “EU initiatives in support of the green and\ndigital twin transition” \nOnline registration and full programme \n \n\n\n\n\nCOP26 Climate Change Conference\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe 2021 UN climate change conference (COP26) is scheduled to take place from 31 October to 12 November 2021 in Glasgow\, under the presidency of the UK. The EU and its Member States will take part as Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The COP26 brings together governments from around the world to agree coordinated action to tackle climate change. The conference is also a space for governments\, businesses\, local authorities and civil society to discuss and showcase climate action.
