DESCRIPTION:The International Conference on ICT for Sustainability (ICT4S) brings together leading researchers\, industry\, government\, public sector\, civil society representatives with an interest in using\, analysing\, designing and deploying ICT for environmental\, social\, technical and economic sustainability. \n\n\n\nThe conference provides a platform for a broad spectrum of research discussing the role of ICT for sustainable development and welcomes contributions from all academic fields—including computer science\, the humanities\, natural\, and social sciences—with a strong emphasis on collaboration across disciplines. Thereby\, the conference provides a space for trans- and interdisciplinary exchange and inspiration for new ideas and solutions. \n\n\n\nIn 2026 the conference will return to Switzerland at Bern University of Applied Sciences from 8 until 12 June. The main venue will be the Campus Marzili located in the heart of Bern. \n\n\n\nThe conference will start with an industry & policy leaders day on Monday\, followed by three research insight days from Tuesday to Thursday and a workshop and doctoral symposium day on Friday.

It will comprise: \n\n\n\n\nthe 28th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 28);\n\n\n\nthe fifth meeting of the COP serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 5);\n\n\n\nthe 18th meeting of the COP serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 18);\n\n\n\nthe 59th meeting of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 59); and\n\n\n\nthe 59th meeting of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA 59). \n\n\n\n\nIn a letter dated 13 January 2023\, the UNFCCC Secretariat announced that Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber\, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and UAE Special Envoy for Climate Change\, has been appointed to serve as COP 28 President-Designate. \n\n\n\nThe COP 27 Egyptian Presidency and the Incoming COP 28 Presidency are convening informal consultations to engage governments at the ministerial\, Head-of-Delegation\, and technical levels to lay the groundwork “to deliver a successful COP 28 that drives global transformation towards a low-emission and climate-resilient world\, fosters ambitious climate action and facilitates implementation\, including the related support”. \n\n\n\nThe first Global Stocktake of the implementation of the Paris Agreement will conclude at COP 28. Each stocktake is a two-year process that happens every five years\, with the aim of assessing the world’s collective progress towards achieving its climate goals. The first Global Stocktake takes place at the mid-point in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its SDGs\, including Goal 13 (climate action). DESCRIPTION:The 2023 EuCNC & 6G Summit builds on putting together two successful conferences in the area of telecommunications: EuCNC (European Conference on Networks and Communications)\, supported by the European Commission\, and the 6G Summit\, originated from the 6G Flagship programme in Finland\, one of the very first in its area.\n\nThe conference is sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc)\, the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) and the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP)\, and focuses on all aspects of telecommunications ranging from 5G deployment and mobile IoT to 6G exploration and future communications systems and networks\, including experimentation and testbeds\, and applications and services. It brings together cutting-edge research and world-renown industries and businesses\, globally attracting in the last years more than 1 300 delegates from more than 40 countries all over the world\, to present and discuss the latest results\, and an exhibition with more than 70 exhibitors\, for demonstrating the technology developed in the area\, namely within research projects from EU R&I programmes.\n\nThe conference has a not-for-profit organisation\, hence\, registration fees are as low as possible and all surplus will be made available in grants.  Best Papers and Booth Awards will be granted. Accepted and presented papers for regular sessions will be published in the Conference Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore and other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.
